Any one know about ground transportation in Houston? I'm passing through Houston on both ends of my Guatemala trip. Finally I received an estimate from a town car company.... yikes!
Elizabeth,
Thank you for considering Karr Limousine Service. Below are the rates you
requested:

June 20, 2011
Time TBA Hampton Inn Intercontinental to Hobby Airport Town Car: $81.00, plus tolls (if applicable) (Please note there is an additional charge of $25 if the pick up is scheduled between the hours of 11:00 PM - 5:59 AM)
Any one have any better ideas?

Guatemala via Houston - Still no transportation plans
OK, so I was trying to tie up loose ends for my June trip to Guatemala. One of the loose ends was getting from one airport to the other in Houston. It's an hour drive, I hear. So, being a travel writer, I contacted the Houston CVB and asked for their help. They did have information on transportation services. They even went so far as to suggest a particular town car service. I found them online and, last week, I e-mailed them for an estimate and information on transportation from airport to airport. So far no answer. So I am back to square one.
You'd think they'd want the business. Anyone have recommendations?

Whiney Goths off the Amazing Race - Missing Jet and Cord
I have to admit. I liked Kynt and Vyxsin, their wild outfits and sense of humor. I stopped liking them when they got frustrated and tired and turned on each other. To me, the winning team is one that can stick together through thick and thin and maintain respect for each other.
Kynt and Vyxsin, were at the end of their ropes and losing was only the next step. I still feel that Jet and Cord, the Cowboys, acted like winners and were so much of a threat to their competitors that the result was the competitors started playing dirty. They literally ganged up on them by sharing information.... unfair!
Personalities aside, the views of the blowing snow off the Matterhorn made watching the show worth it.... stunning!
So who is tops on my list now? I'm not sure yet.
