It isn’t often that I have to say something negative about a place that is on my “raves” list. But Friday night’s dining experience at The Turquoise Room at La Posada in Winslow, Arizona left me that disappointed. The disconnect between the beautiful La Posada and the in-house restaurant was made evident to our group almost as soon as we walked in the door.

I always read the TripAdvisor reviews when considering a property. I took the review with a grain of salt if one was negative and the rest were glowing. I had a marvelous experience with my son recently. He purchased a larger private plane, based in Salt Lake City, and invited me to fly cross-country with him to deliver the plane to his home in Florida.

One of my favorites is Hacienda Corona de Guevavi Bed and Breakfast Inn near Patagonia, Arizona. Actually their address is Nogales, but they are not in the town of Nogales, AZ. They are in the countryside.
