Portland's Creative Night Market: Holiday Edition Slated for November

Portland’s most unique and creative local event celebrates its one-year anniversary and the approaching holiday season this November with an additional third day for shopping and brunch-time noshing.

The Portland Market “Holiday Edition” will take place Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19th from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., located at 100 SE Alder Street, Portland, Ore. Admission is free and open to all ages.

Portland entrepreneur Emma Pelett founded the Portland Night Market in 2015 to give Portland’s creative community a place to showcase their growing businesses. The first market was an instant success with thousands of guests visiting the Central Eastside Industrial District to eat, shop, drink and celebrate Portland’s quirky, creative and entrepreneurial spirit.

Food + Drink – from Brunch to Collaborations to Pop-ups
Many vendors team up with other makers to bring a one-of-kind experience to Portland Night Market and showcase Portland’s collaborative spirit. For the upcoming holiday market, Union Wine will partner with Marshall’s Haute Sauce for their version of a Red Haute Pinot. New for the holiday event is the addition of a third day of shopping and eating on Sunday, November 20th with a pop-up Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar outside under the viaduct. The Bible Club’s Speakeasy returns to the upstairs mezzanine lobby with their unique craft cocktails. Popular food vendors include Pastrami Zombie, Dump Truck, PDX Sliders, Koi Fusion, Pip’s Original, Bunk, Boke Bowl and more.

Art + Interactive Experiences
Sprinkled amongst all the food, drink and artisan goods for sale, Pelett and her team will curate live experiences ranging from a pop-up circus with all age performers, to jugglers, a build your own terrarium bar by With Love, From PDX, a tarot card reader, fortune teller and henna artist. The upper mezzanine will feature an art gallery as well as a live art installation with local artists painting, etching and artfully transforming life-size shop mannequins.

Portland’s Best Merchants Under One Roof
The Portland Night Market boasts some of the Pacific Northwest’s best small businesses as an ideal spot to sell their wares and engage with customers. Visitors will be able to shop prominent local brands produced by MadeHere PDX, Wildfang, Hammer + Vine, Sparrow and Sundry, Portland Gear, and Cargo.
