Favorite B&B's of the Southwest - Nogales and Patagonia Area

I've enjoyed staying in some fantastic B and B's that represent the lifestyle and the culture of the Southwest.

One of my favorites is Hacienda Corona de Guevavi Bed and Breakfast Inn near Patagonia, Arizona. Actually their address is Nogales, but they are not in the town of Nogales, AZ. They are in the countryside.

What I loved about Hacienda Corona was the history of the ranch, the warmth of the owners and the murals of Mexican muralist and bullfighter (also, an accountant) Salvador Corona. The paintings of Mexican peasants during the 1940's and 1950's are truly beautiful, and, we believe, the only remaining Corona murals.

Another of my favorites, actually in Patagonia, AZ is The Duquesne House. What I love about this B&B is that it is in a historic adobe right in the center of artsy Patagonia. The owner, Nancy, is a fantastic gardener so you can really relax both in your room and in the lovely tiered garden.
