What I like most about travel IS culture shock. What the teams on Amazing Race seemed have the most difficulty with was culture shock.
Imagine racing around the country and landing in Ghana. It was an interesting episode full of market scenes, women carrying immense baskets of fruit and goods on their heads and some evidence of desperate poverty.
It was an interesting episode. The highlight for me was the amazing, colorful coffin scene. Imagine, beautifully crafted coffins shaped like pianos, a camera, different animals. Hmmm. With a coffin selection like that, I might have to re-think my cremation plans!
What did others think?
Ghana certainly looked hot! Not overly scenic.
ReplyDeleteSad to see the birth mom and daughter go, but on the other hand I think too much of the race would be a real strain on them getting to know each other. Just a bad idea -- such reunions are stressful enough, too many different emotions in play. They both seemed like good people.
