The 16th annual cooking competition and celebration of specialty game meats will be held at the Resort at the Mountain on the slopes of Mt. Hood on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Nicky USA and Nicky Farms proteins will be prepared by some of the region’s best chefs, who will go head-to-head in a cooking competition. Four chefs from Portland and four chefs from Seattle will compete in four different game meat-based categories.
Each dish is presented to a panel of renowned culinary experts for judging. Guests will also be able to sample each chef’s dish and vote for their favorite. Last year, chef Carlo Lamagna of Clyde Common took home the title with his winning dish of Nicky Farms Rabbit Arroz Caldo.
Attendees will feast at the Artisan Marketplace with over 40 food and beverage booths, where the region’s favorite small-batch producers sample their products, including artisan charcuterie, cheeses, chocolates, ice cream, coffee, spirits, wine, beer, along with Nicky Farms proteins and samples of specialty meat products in the Nicky USA lineup.
Top Northwest chefs will also prepare dishes to sample featuring products from the Marketplace.
